Passive Aggressiveness of Mother Nature !
The people who I normally hear talking about climate change is - COMEDIANS!! Why ? Why ? Why ?
Reason for me writing this blog today is the unbearable heat in Mumbai. I mean writing this blog is more of a task. The more the heat the more we use the AC. But first an important question - Do you think climate change is a real problem. Lets sort that out first.
WHAT IS CLIMATE CHANGE? It is not your usual summers - monsoons - winters. This is actually preferable. But have you noticed the extreme rise of temperature. It does make you uncomfortable right ?Climate change is the result of all our manmade activities of utilizing resources from mother nature.
Fossil fuels – coal, oil and gas – are by far the largest contributor to global climate change, accounting for over 75 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and nearly 90 per cent of all carbon dioxide emissions.
As greenhouse gas emissions blanket the Earth, they trap the sun’s heat. This leads to global warming and climate change. The world is now warming faster than at any point in recorded history. Warmer temperatures over time are changing weather patterns and disrupting the usual balance of nature. This poses many risks to human beings and all other forms of life on Earth.
So yes reducing plastic usage and recycling things is definitely going to help but don't beat yourself up for throwing that plastic straw in garbage. Maximum contributors need to cut down. This needs extreme policy changes at the government level to decrease carbon emission along with behavioral change at community level to reduce individual carbon footprint. Easier said than done.
But why do we need to worry so much about climate change? Ill just add a few pictures and you will understand.

Our entire life revolves around use and throw products. Try to decrease use of packaged products. Recycle used plastic. Use public transport and cycles. When I was living in Aurangabad my neighbors were making this dry fruit paste for their kids and it was a real hard work to see them grind the dry fruits on a slab with milk and give it to their babies. I was thinking of an easier way to do that and help them (mostly buying it in a shop) So my friend Jayashree did say that you do get it in the shops but homemade is best. Good learning for me that what you can make at home why buy?
COP26 conference hosted a few youngsters talking about climate change. The important point in that conference was inclusiveness, giving a voice to the people who are actually going to be affected by climate change and what they want. A few world leaders taking matters into their hands in dictating the how things work is not going to help anyone. People need to stand up for themselves. A healthy climate and clean environment is a right of the future generations and the people of the earlier generations need to understand that and work on it.
Mothers are always giving but when their patience is tested you know how their passive aggressiveness works. They just turn off the fan if you don't get up on time. Its time for the world to get up now!
