5 Questions !!?!?!?!?!?!!

These are the latest burning questions in my head......Few I have answers to while others are just to make you think!

Question no 1 :  Why do we go to school ?

I was always late for school. The only thing that attracted me to school were my friends and craft and drawing classes. Now a days we have information in our hands. We only need teachers to explain the concepts. I heard someone say that day when they were deciding which school to put their child in - All schools are equally bad. How do we assess the quality of school ? By checking the marks students get in SSC i.e the 10th std whatever board they might be in. I was in SSC and it hasn't made any difference in my growth. Why don't we check which school has the least stressed out children or happier children. Time for reality check teachers !!

Question no 2 : What is money ?

Is it the measure of success or power? Then why has the richest man on earth decided to give away most of his wealth for the purpose of public health......yeah that's Bill Gates for you. I loved Harry Potter and it had made J.K. Rowling the richest woman in UK. She gave it all away and became the 3rd richest. My uncle Sunil Chavan sold off his BMW and is now full time working in social sector. Money provides you with facilities. It cant give ever lasting happiness. I believe it is just a means of exchange.

Question no 3 : Is patriotism natural ?

Of course we love our country and we owe a lot to our country. But we are taught that all humans are equal. So why only love the people of our own country and hate others. I think patriotism is a very artificial emotion. It doesn't come naturally to humans. We are taught to be patriotic. Nations were created for administrative ease. Not for spreading hate.

Question no 4 : Does time exist ?

With the big bang it is said that time was created. But isn't time just division of revolutions of earth around the earth......OK this might seem a little off track question. But I really have this question unanswered. We made the clock , we divided time. Yes it is measurable and all but we have made the timetables. It exists only because everyone believes in it universally. But I am not convinced. 😜

Question no 5 : What is the definition of freedom ?

Till 1947 it was getting rid of the British rule. Did  the Indians really find freedom after that. Everyone's definition of freedom is different. Hrithik Roshan says discipline sets you free. Some say doing what you want is freedom. Slowly the definition of freedom is going to change. We really need to understand what we want or are we wanting what the systems wants us to want. We wear clothes according to the latest fashion but is that what we want to wear. Are we really free ?

OPEN TO DISCUSSION!

  1. Really nice blog .. Regarding school I also wanted to add that school teaches us what is ideal but when we get exposed to real world as an adult then we come across that values, belief system, equality, honesty etc this all subjective and real world doing manipulations. We always reamin in state of mind of idealism and suddenly when we get exposed to all this we starting denying and this leads to all problems. I think school also teach us coping mechanisam to changing value system of today's era.what u think?

  2. The essential nature of human beings is absolute freedom. An
individual resists any shackles on one’s personality, and does not relish being told what to do or not do. He revolts against injunctions and precepts and
opposes the idea of any spiritual practice prescribing self-restraint. Little does
he realize that freedom is essentially built on intelligent self-restraint and discipline. For instance, the freedom of movement on the road is subject to the discipline of the traffic lights. If this discipline is not followed, there will
be no control at all over the movement of people and vehicles and this will lead to confusion and chaos. Freedom, thus, loses its meaning and degenerates into licence in the absence of adequate regulations and directions. These are extract from Vedant.

  3. The general complaint among human beings is that the world is full of eviland imperfections and that they have to encounter problems and challenges at every moment. They feel threatened and afraid. In such a chaotic state of affairs, they ask how one can find peace and happiness. To this desperate appeal, the religious masters, time and again, have explained that peace and contentment do not exist in the external world but are generated within one’s heart by establishing a proper mode of contact with the outer world.

  8. Time is an emergent property in physics and not the fundamental quantity. Particles of light do not experience time.
