Eat healthy!!
"From Monday confirm dieting" or "I'll definitely start from 1st of next month" or "It's going to be my new year resolution".This sounds almost like everyone.Even I have been through this phase.So what made me start dieting?After 2 years of no exercise and eating random things outside I had gained a lot of weight.Ofcourse I blamed it on my psychiatric medications.....as if I was super thin before that...but still.
Everyone was saying that I had put on a lot and I should do something about it.However food was the only thing that made me happy so I wasn't going to listen to anyone.So in december of 2016 I made a resolution that I will start a diet and start losing weight.The blueberry cheese cake which I had months back seemed like heaven.And I devoured it thinking it will be my last one.
Not being a an expert on nutrition I consulted a doctor who gave me a timetable to follow and a whole list of food items I could eat.I was amazed I could eat so much and which is tasty and healthy.
The whole trick about dieting is making up your mind.Once you have decided that this food is good and this food is bad you can easily follow your diet plan.
I was on a weight loss diet.So I wasn't consuming any carbohydrates or fats.But that is the main part of any diet which people normally have.But when you have to lose weight you need to create a deficiency in your body .....this makes the body utilize the stored fats as energy.
Starting the day with lukewarm water with lemon juice , black tea followed it and 1 glass of vegetable juice (eg: palak,tomato, carrot etc).After that every 2 hours 1 liter of water with lemon and salt should be consumed.It acts a cleansing agent.For lunch and dinner I have boiled vegetables or daal. Eggs are important part of nutrition...but only the white part,which I had for dinner thrice weekly.1 fruit per day is compulsory.1 glass of milk at night is also necessary to supply calcium to the body.Dry fruits are a tasty snack to have in between when you are hungry.At the weekend a glass of protein shake should be taken to replenish the protein stores.One should check their vitamin D and vitamin B12 levels and take treatment accordingly.Boiled chicken is a good source of protein and vitamin B12.Along with this it is necessary to taken vitamin and calcium supplements in tablet form.
Its been 3 months since I have been on diet.Yes I have lost weight....10 kgs! And I have not only lost weight but I have never felt so healthy.I am not a morning person but since I started this diet I feel so fresh and happy in the morning.....and it continues throughout the day.
I certainly feel that this diet gave me a new life.There are a few moments when there is weakness and craving for vadapav....but it is made sure that is compensated later on.
Along with diet walking is also a must ........and nothing is easier than losing weight!!!
